GCSEasy is a free revision site run by a student. It's built to collect as little as possible. You don't need an account to revise.
If you don't make an account
- Your progress (XP, flashcards, quiz scores, notes) is saved only in your browser, on your device.
- We count page views to see which pages help most. Each visit records the page, the type of device (phone, tablet or computer) and the website you came from. To count visitors without tracking you, we use a code made from your network address and browser that changes every day and can't be turned back into either. No cookies, no ads, no tracking across other sites. Page-view records are deleted after 120 days.
- If you use AI marking, your answer is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to be marked, and isn't stored by us.
If you make an account
- Your email address and password are handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We never see your password. Firebase sends the emails to verify your address or reset your password.
- Your progress is copied to our database (Cloudflare D1) so you can use it on other devices.
- We store when your account was created, when you last used it, and whether your email is verified.
- Your email is used only to sign you in. We won't send you marketing or share it with anyone.
- If you join a class, the people in it see the nickname you choose, your XP and your streak, never your email.
Deleting your data
Open the account menu (the person icon at the top), then Delete my account. This deletes your account and everything saved online straight away. To clear what's saved on a device, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Children
GCSEasy is for secondary school students. If you're under 13, ask a parent or carer before making an account.
Who processes data
Cloudflare (hosting, database, AI marking) and Google Firebase (sign-in). Both may process data outside the UK under their own safeguards.
